Target Nights and ho shorts for juniors.

Know what I love?
Target Nights.
Where you go to Target, get some Starbucks, and just walk around with no time limit - alone, or maybe with a Target-minded girlfriend - and do just that, browse. No naggin' to go home. No "Have we gotten everything on the list? Then, why are we still here?"
I texted hubs yesterday at 4:30 to let him know I was goin' to Target and get some Starbucks and browse.
"Ok," he said.

Two hours later, I return home.
"Where have you been?"
"Target," I answered, confused. Didn't he text me back 'ok' when I told him I was goin' to Target?
"This whole time?"
"Umm, yeah."

Target Nights are a big deal to me. You see, I avoid Target like the plague because it is a brilliant marketing scheme geared toward sucking women in by putting magical scarves, jewelry, clutches, polish, eye shadow mascara, etc near the front, and then leading you from there into magical office supplies and house wares trap.
So, yes, I avoid it. Unless ...
I have birthdizzle gift cards {to Target & Starbucks!!}. Big thanks to la familia.

Here's what I came home with:

Yep. Finally got a chambray. See, I'm picky. Button downs can't be too tight in the shoulder. They have to have a dab of stretch, and not hug my fat, but need to hug my boobs a little.
This one:
Soft. Knows where to be snug, and where to be lose. Doesn't try to pop off when I stretch my arms. Good job, Merona.

I wanted some nail polish in the "mango" family.
Didn't have luck finding anything involving "mango" in the name.
Also, I don't pay more than $3.50 for nail polish, $5 on a crazy day.
So, I got me some Sally Hansen Peachy Breeze.

Shorts.
Can we talk about how much I hate shoppin' for shorts?
Juniors' = ho shorts.
Women's = down to your knees.
And, I have a big butt, but my thighs don't really match up proportionally. Sooo, if they fit in the waist, they are too big in the booty.
But, if I go up a size so that they do fit in the booty, they are just too big and look ridic.
But, these, that are ,in fact, from the junior department, work - with a belt anyway.

And this, my friends, is what is goin' on in most of the junior department.
I feel sorry for you parents of teenage girls. Everywhere sells ho clothes. What the dealy?
See, this lovely pic on the left is from online. Those shorts totally look like they at least cover your ass cheek crease, no?
However, the pic on the right is how hooch-tastic these shorts actually are. Lookin' like some panties.
PS - WTH are yoga shorts?

Da Efff?

And that, is how my Target Night played out.

What magical things have you gotten at Target lately?
No, nevermind. Don't tell me. I don't need encouragement.

elf yourself, i recommend

Sooo, remember how I bought these two items from Tarjay the other night?

Well, I have to say, I like. I tried to take pics to model for you how magical they are:

Hmmm. This may actually dissuade you from buying. See how rounnnnd my face is? I look like a blushing chipmunk, huh?

Anyway, as far as what they are supposed to do, I'm good ... especially for $1 and $6. The facial cream (left, $1), is great as a highlighter. I used it at the top of my cheek bones at a bit of an angle ... to attempt to create somewhat of a cheekbone, because clearly, I ain't got cheek bones. I also used it on my brow bone. I will say, it isn't much in the way of blush as far as offering any color. I had to do blush color separately. But, yes, points for brightening and making you look all dewey and fresh. ;)

The primer (right, $6) did help with even application of make up. I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. :( I don't know that it made my make up last any longer. But then again, neither did the $24 primer by Bare Escentuals.

I got both of mine at Target, but you can also find them here and here

Gotta run, the Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio version of Romeo + Juliet is on.

xo,

Rain, Target & the Joy of Pnut Buttah

Call me a weirdo, but I love rainy night trips to Target. First of all, I have been wanting a better teasing tool for my thin, baby fine hair, especially since no matter what I do, my crown shows FULLY WHOLLY AND COMPLETELY OBVIOUSLY. No matter what. I saw this gizmo over on Pink Lou Lou's site, and I liked the idea but I am impatient, and didn't want to order online and have to wait for it, so I thought, I bet they got somethin close at good ole Tar Jay, right?

So, we needed groceries anyhoo, so off we went, in the pourin down rain. Poor Sylvia was strugglin to navigate through all that water. And she need her some new windshield wipers, Anj Davis. Wink, wink.

Anyhoo, we arrived at the Tar Jay safely, and here are some things I was especially excited about. You know, stuff you bought, but you don't feel guilty because it's not really shoppin, it's just stuff you picked up while buyin groceries.

Morning crack deliciousness
and the coffee was on sale for $6.99!!!
My sensor is a bit awkward, bless her heart and she attaches to my body on one end, but the other end of her flops away from my body, makin yankage out of my body highly likely. So, she has to be strapped down like a mental patient. The regular band-aids I've been using ain't gettin it.

we are currently in trial mode ... band-aid's still there because it hurts to take em off ... TMI? Just imagine the hotness during beach season. ;)

Movin on ....

here's the conair version of PLL's brush ... it was $5.49 at target, and I LIKES. Couldn't find it on the Target website, but you can get 'em at Walgreens, CVS, etc.

and oh how I DO love me some honeycrisp apples - to me fall = extra apple consumption

***
after we returned from our Tar Jay extravaganza, we split this bad boy because 80g of carbs is too much at one time for this sister in diabeetus.

And no, hubs can't leave well enough alone. He thinks all apples must have peanut butter - even candy ones. I have NEVER seen him just eat a friggin apple.

What a friggin weirdo.

I tried it.

It was awesome.

What it isn't realllly shopping purchases do YOU get excited about?
