Dude, 1983 was THIRTY years ago!

Saturday night, hubs & I went to Greensboro to celebrate his friend Frank's 30th,
which had an 80's theme!

I headed to Target and quickly realized that 80's fashion is what the modern middle schooler wears -
complete with acid washed skinnies, boxy cropped t-shirts, neon colored sunglasses & watches, and bright flats.
Hell,  even the graphic tee's were straight out of the 80's

I just got a men's vintage tee in a size too big, youtubed a video to help me cut off the sleeves, neck, and bottom, and tied one of the shoulders into a knot.

I totally plan to wear these faded leopard skinnies and those aqua flats again.
Already had the jewelry.

Annnnd, hubs already had that bomb ass red & white {of NC State} Adidas track suit.
{Got it in college.}

The birthday boy loves him some Yuengling and Muppets, so Yuengling was in the keg and muppets were part of the decor.

80s2-1-1

There were leg warmers, crimped hair, neon flip glasses, colorful heels, and 80's hairband members.

Photobucket

There were awesome set ups all over the house of 80's memorabilia - Rubix cubes, slinkies, 80's board games & cards, necklaces, and candy.

Photobucket

Operation. And, more muppets on the cupcakes.

Photobucket

Glow necklaces and Chris Sabos.

Photobucket

There was quite the spread, including some out-of-this-world Sausage-Spinach dip, {Liz, can you send me that recipe? Omygyahh, it was so good!}, mini corn dogs, Totino's Pizza Rolls, Doritos, chicken wings, 7-layer dip, meatballs, popcorn, Pringles, KFC Chicken, Ruffles & Dip, mini subs, oreos, and on and on and on. Yummation.

Photobucket

80's movies were showing on rotation during the party.

Photobucket

The Karate Kid even made an appearance!
{He made that design on the back himself, using Sharpies!!}

Photobucket

And, of course - there was a photo booth. Whoop! Whoop!

Photobucket

Happy Birthday, Frank!
I hope you had an awesome time! I know we did!

That looks like one awesome party - those seem like people I would like. If you're gonna throw a party, go all out!

Those flats complete the outfit, and yet I can totally see them being cute when not worn with a full 80s outfit, too!

I LOVE a good 80s party! I wish I had thought of that for my 30th. Would have been way cooler than just a bonfire haha.

And I love your husbands track suit. Fantastic!
